MTVI2Modified Triangular Vegetation Index 2

VegetationMultispectralCitation Rank #23

Summary

The Modified Triangular Vegetation Index 2 (MTVI2) is a vegetation spectral index intended for multispectral sensing. It was introduced in 2004; its source is cited as D Haboudane (2004). Hyperspectral vegetation indices and novel algorithms for predicting green LAI of crop canopies: Modeling and validation in the context of precision agriculture. Remote Sensing of Environment, 90(3). https://doi.org/10.1016/j.rse.2003.12.013 .

Based on the latest citation data, this index is in the 93.93th percentile overall, ranking 23 out of 313 indices with citation data. Among the 51 indices published within two years of 2004, it ranks 12 (84.31th percentile). Within the vegetation application domain, it is in the 92.42th percentile and ranks 20 out of 211 indices with citation data. Among the 39 similarly aged vegetation indices, it ranks 10 (84.62th percentile).
