HRVHigh Resolution Visible

SPOT-2

Instrument IDHRV_SPOT2
satellite platform

Summary

HRV_SPOT2 (High Resolution Visible) is a retired multispectral instrument operated by CNES on SPOT-2. It is associated with a satellite platform and has public data availability.

NOTE

SPOT-2 carried two independently programmable HRV instruments. Each unit imaged a 60 km swath in either 10 m panchromatic mode or 20 m multispectral mode; operating both units together provided a 117 km combined swath. The three multispectral bands were acquired simultaneously, whereas the panchromatic and multispectral modes were alternatives.
