VGT-1Vegetation

SPOT-4

Instrument IDVGT1_SPOT4
satellite platform

Summary

VGT1_SPOT4 (Vegetation) is a retired multispectral instrument operated by CNES on SPOT-4. It is associated with a satellite platform and has public data availability.

NOTE

VGT-1 and VGT-2 were nearly identical four-channel instruments. Their native nadir ground sampling distance was approximately 1.15 km and increased toward the swath edge; standard synthesis products were distributed on a 1 km grid. VGT-1 provided the initial SPOT-VEGETATION time series before VGT-2 became its operational successor.
