VGT-2Vegetation

SPOT-5

Instrument IDVGT2_SPOT5
satellite platform

Summary

VGT2_SPOT5 (Vegetation) is a retired multispectral instrument operated by CNES on SPOT-5. It is associated with a satellite platform and has public data availability.

NOTE

VGT-2 retained the VGT-1 spectral configuration while improving stray-light control, the MIR detector, calibration, and attitude restitution. Its native nadir ground sampling distance was approximately 1.15 km and increased toward the swath edge; standard synthesis products were distributed on a 1 km grid. SPOT-VEGETATION measurements concluded on 2014-05-31, before the end of the wider SPOT-5 mission.
